WHO WE ARE
The Graphic Design Senior Student Association (GDSSA) is the senior class in the Graphic Design program at Arizona State University. We are a driven group of 74 passionate designers who have refined our skills and honed our talent through countless projects, late nights, and collaborative efforts.
WHAT IS THE POSTER SHOW?
Since 2001, GDSSA has hosted a poster show in the Fall semester to raise funds for our Senior Capstone Exhibition in the Spring. We do this by auctioning off donated posters from designers all over the globe. You can bid on or purchase a collection of over 1000 unique poster designs, both in person and virtually. Choose from a silent auction, a traditional live auction, or our made-to-print selection of posters available for $20.
The auction runs from November 11th 12:00 PM – November 14th at 8:30 PM. Join us for the in-person event at Novus Innovation Corridor on November 14, 2024 from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM. Here you can view posters in-person, wrap up silent auction bids, and participate in our live auction featuring posters exclusive to the physical event.
Posters are only available through in-person pickup either during the November 14th event, or during our final pickup on November 20 from 1:30 PM — 6 PM. All Made to Print posters can be picked up on December 4th from 1:30 PM – 6 PM. Unfortunately, we cannot ship posters at this time.
MEET OUR TEAMS
To bring this amazing show together, our class has divided into six teams, working side by side to make it happen.
Event Design
Event Design created the layout for the show which includes building displays, designing signage, and crafting a magical space for the physical event.
Event Management
Event Management handled the overall organization of the show and kept everything running smoothly. They oversaw the budget, coordinated incoming posters, and reached out to show sponsors.
Media Marketing
Media Marketing plays a vital role in spreading the word, utilizing both social media and in-person events to reach a wider audience.
Photo
Photo Team captured stunning photos and videos used for the website, media, auction, and more. Documenting both the show itself and the creative process behind it.
Print team ensures every poster has the highest print quality and color. They meticulously manage hundreds of posters, handling each one with care to ensure they are perfect for you at pickup.
Web
Web team designed and coded the website you are using right now! Providing a seamless experience for accessing information and participating in the auctions.
